Sinterklaas

Yesterday I made two cakes for Sinterklaas, one for work and the other one for my family when we celebrate Sinterklaas.

It turned out more challenging then I thought but it was a lot of fun and the result turned out very tasty.

And... there was another hobby

Yes I know. I'm a very bad blogger but will try to bring new life to my blog and post more regulair.
With this snowy weather, will have to take picts, it's a good time spend it behind the computer blogging and cleaning out the pics I've taken and are nog so great.
This also means more scrapping has to be done with all those pics that will be waiting.
In the mean time I want to share with you that I have found a new hobby, as if I haven't enough allready :-0.
It's making cupcakes with lots of decoration and in the future I want to make my own cakes as well. Looks like so much fun.
Two weeks ago I had a workshop together with my mom and sis with Saskia (http://www.bijzonderlekkers.nl/) we learned different techniques for decorating cupcakes. It was a lot of fun.

Offcourse I had to make some for work and this is what I made of it. Practice makes perfect, right?

The pink ones and the ones with the flowers had a vanilla topping and the brown ones where coffee.

The pics are not that great, forgot to take them so had to do it in a hurry.

Leiden by night

For our last photography class we went outside to take pics of the city in the evening/by night.
It was a challange because of the light conditions but I think these are ok.

Models

Yesterday I had another photography class. This time we took pics of three girls that where willing to stand model for us. The teacher set up two studio lights with a background and we got the opportunity to learn how to take studio pics.

It's not as easy as it seems especially to instruct the model but it's something I love en defenitly like to do. So if anyone is willing to sit model for me ;-).

I would like to thank Dorien Rachel en Mijke for being willing to stand model for us. You did great! Hope you like the pics.

scrap-a-licious

I went to Utrecht last saturday for a day filled with workshops. Had one workshop from Corinne , a mini-album, and the other two where from Celiné, and art journal and a layout. They aren't finished yet but I will show them later. I'm defenitly going to do more art journals they are a great artistic outlet love the idea.

In the evening during the crop, there was a lottery, and I won a price!

Shopping in Haarlem

Last saturday I went to Haarlem with two friends. It was fun.

Offcourse we went shopping and I bought some hairsoap from Lush. It's shampoo but like a soap bar.

Love that store, they all kinds of handmade soaps, creams etc. Defenitly have to make some pics of the store when I go there again.

Winter Wonderland

To bad the snow didn't stay very long so I didn't get to take many pictures, but I like this one of the bikes snowed in. Looks like a piece of art.
